Eileen and Michael’s downtown Chicago engagement session was one for the books. These two are getting married next March, and they specifically chose a colder month because they are self-described “straight up sweaty people” lolol. So of COURSE the day of their engagement session ended up having a heat advisory + 100° temps. Woofta! They handled it amazingly though, walking up to their session with Michael holding a giant golf umbrella above Eileen’s head to keep her out of the sun (and also with a cooler full of water bottles and cold towels in hand).

They were cracking me up the whole session with the way they described different poses; the classic pose of one person hugging the other from behind Michael described with “so I’m the little spoon?” and Eileen described as “I’m the jetpack”) and even buildings (like the diamond building featured in a lot of the Lurie Garden photos that Eileen calls the grilled cheese building hahaha).

Cannot wait for their wedding a Rockwell on the River in March!

P.S. For any or couples reading this blog and wanting to do photos at Lurie Garden (or anywhere else in Millennium Park), please note that you’ll need to purchase a permit to shoot there! They do check for them and at the time of this post, they’re only $25!
