The first time I visited Santorini, Greece, it became my life mission to shoot a Santorini wedding or elopement, because the island is a wedding photographer’s dream. I was in awe of the caldera, the blue domes and white buildings, and the breathtaking views from every corner of the island; not to mention, the incredible weather, people, and food that go along with it.

Read MoreI haven’t updated my website with new Chicago wedding photos in over a YEAR because of how busy I was shooting weddings and engagement sessions and planning my own wedding in 2022; but starting things off with Molly and Justin’s Bridgeport Art Center wedding feels like the perfect place to start!!! Every time I think of their wedding day at the Skyline Loft at Bridgeport Art Center, the word that comes to mind is joy. From their first look to their intimate and personal ceremony to all the photos from the day—family, wedding party, and the two of them—you could feel the love radiating off everyone in the room.
Read MoreCatie and Kevin’s wedding at Artifact Events in Chicago was a day I’ll always treasure being a part of. I first met the Gallagher (Kevin’s) fam back in 2019 when I shot his sister Lauren’s wedding, and since then, I’ve also shot Catie and Kevin’s proposal and their engagement photos, so it’s safe to say I’ve been looking forward to their big day for a long time.
Read MoreI’ve gotten so many DMs on Instagram asking for our Italian honeymoon itinerary and how we split our ten days across Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast, so even though this is my first ever “personal” blog post on my site, I’m excited to report that it’s time to share all the details!
Read MoreEver since I became a Chicago wedding photographer nearly six years ago, I’ve dreamed about shooting a wedding at The Armour House at Lake Forest Academy. It’s always given me “Italian villa but surprise! it’s actually not in Italy it’s in Illinois!!” vibes (lolol), so when Alex reached out about shooting her and Nick’s wedding there, I was already excited.
Read MoreAs a Chicago wedding photographer, something I try to never take for granted are the number of incredible couples in this city I call home—and also the number of incredible venues and vendors! Racheal and Justin’s wedding day at Morgan’s on Fulton in West Loop was a reminder of all of these things.
Read MoreMonika and Francisco’s engagement session at North Avenue Beach was perfect evidence that cloudy forecasts can end in the most beautiful nights and sunsets at North Ave! I absolutely love when there are some clouds behind the skyline as the sun sets, because the clouds always turn the prettiest shades of pink and purple. Let’s be real though: North Avenue Beach engagement photos look amazing no matter the cloud cover, time of year, or weather!
Read MoreMaeve + Mack’s Lincoln Park engagement session was my third session in less than 12 hours because of some crazy Chicago weather that caused some reschedules! But when I tell you it was well worth the 4:00am wake up call…
Read MoreI couldn’t imagine a more perfect Chicago evening than the one spent along the lakefront for Cece + Neil’s North Avenue Beach engagement session.
Read MoreEileen and Michael’s downtown Chicago engagement session was one for the books. These two are getting married next March, and they specifically chose a colder month because they are self-described “straight up sweaty people” lolol. So of COURSE the day of their engagement session ended up having a heat advisory + 100° temps.
Read MoreAs a Chicago engagement photographer, my very busiest times of the year are summer and fall (which is very fair, those are my two favorite times of year too!). That being said, I think there’s something so underrated about a winter engagement session or wedding! Take Alex and Nick’s December engagement session at the Wrigley Building as an example…
Read MoreMeghan and Quinn’s wedding day at Walden Chicago was a dream in every way. I’d been looking forward to their October wedding for almost a year (after I met them for their engagement session in fall of 2020); partly because they’re such a joy to be around and photograph, partly because Walden is one of my very favorite venues in the whole Chicagoland area, and partly because I knew Quinn was going to be rocking a custom made suit and I couldn’t wait to see it lol.
Read MoreWhere to even begin when talking about Leah and Nate’s Walker Homestead wedding in Iowa City?? From Leah’s first email reply back when I told her I wasn’t available for their wedding date, I knew we were going to have a wonderful relationship because she quite literally moved their wedding date to a different weekend I was open on so I could be their photographer.
Read MoreWhen I say Anna and Rob’s Chicago engagement session was a blast and a half… I mean I TRULY had the time of my life with them (HA, sorry I had to make a Dirty Dancing reference because I’ve never captured someone nailing a pose as well as these two nailed recreating the iconic lift scene).

Read MoreJulia and Alberto’s downtown Chicago and North Avenue Beach engagement session was one of my all-time favorites!! It was 50º in mid-December (what!!) and our good luck didn’t end there; the light was so beautiful from the time we got started at the Wrigley Building all the way until we were wrapping up in front of the Chicago skyline at North Ave.
Read MoreMeghan and Quinn’s fall Chicago engagement session down in Millennium Park was perfect in every way. They were hoping for peak fall foliage in their engagement photos, so we crossed our fingers that the orange leaves in the park would still be on the trees in early November when we had their session—and they were! There were certain spots where the leaves had completely fallen off the trees, so we got a little creative in those areas; they were complete champs when I asked if they would be down to lay in the leaves to get some fun shots of them from above! They also had SUCH good fall outfits picked out that looked perfect with the dark orange leaves in the background. I had a hard time narrowing down which photos to share in this blog post, so scroll on down to see all 100+ of my favorites! I can’t wait to take their photos again for their wedding at The Walden in October!
Read MoreI had so much fun taking Amelia and Tim’s engagement photos at North Avenue Beach and the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk on the most perfect mid-October Chicago morning! For not being a morning person, I sure loved waking up early that day because it meant beautiful light and sun flares galore for their engagement session!!
Read MoreWhen October hits (okay fine when September hits LOL) my brain goes into overdrive thinking of what I want to do for my annual Halloween styled shoot. I didn’t do one last year, so I made up for it and did two this year!! The first was a full moon styled shoot down in West Loop—coming to the blog soon—and the second was this one with Dana and Jared out at a forest preserve in the Chicago suburbs. I started by making a mood board on Pinterest for a general vibe, then I reached out to Tatiana who owns Thrive Floral Designs and she helped make the moody florals I had envisioned a reality!! I had so much fun capturing her work and Dana and Jared on the most perfect October evening. Scroll down to see some of my favorites!
